K&S Hardwood Gyuto saya. Comprised of Wenge and Teak timber. Sizes available for 210 / 240 and 270mm. However becasue Gyuto sizes varies by a lot, there are a few different main types: Sakai (standard) profile, Large profile (Takefu) and Think spine (Sanjo profile). Of course you can always opt-in the “Choose the right size for me” when you are purchasing the saya along with the knife.

* A pin will be supplied with a saya. You will need to locate the pin hole with your knife fitted in and drill the pin hole.

While we have been offering custom K&S hardwood Sayas for a long time already, most of them are for double bevels. We finally started to work with our supplier to start offering the single bevel K&S sayas.

The K&S custom sayas are manufactured to an extremely high level of quality, utlitising two very popular hardwood timbers: the light coloured Teak and the dark coloured African Wenge.

African Wenge while is less oily than Teak, is stell very durable and more importantly dark. Once fully oxidated it is almost totally black and matches very well with darker handles (ebony and some dyed handles).
